IMPORTANT DETAILS REGARDING SCALDERSITCH FARM AND CORONA VIRUS

VISITING DURING CORONAVIRUS

A Warm Welcome

We are issuing all guests with a link to our new Virtual Welcome Book - with lots of important details both ahead and during your stay with full written information about fire safety and hot tub instructions. We will of course be around (at a distance) and at the end of the phone if you have any queries or need anything during your stay.

Due to the extra cleaning precautions in place, the accommodation will be available for check in from 3pm We ask that guests respect this new time and arrive no earlier, to enable the deep cleaning and disinfection processes to be fully completed before guests arrive on site.

Prior to arrival, we ask you not to travel if you have any symptoms or have been in contact with someone who has tested positive for Covid19- please help us to keep other guests, our team and our communities safe and please ensure you have relevant travel insurance and have checked your terms.

Your Accommodation

Your accommodation key will be left inside a sealed bag. We have upgraded our already strict cleaning regime with a full wipe down of all surfaces with a professional grade disinfectant. We have removed any excess additions for the time being to reduce any transmission risk from unnecessary items, this includes sheepskin rugs and some cushions. Upholstery and curtains will be sprayed with a suitable disinfectant spray to sanitise soft furnishings.

Laundry

On departure, we kindly ask guests to strip the bed and place linen in the bag provided. There will also be a bag provided to place towels, bath robes and tea towels inside. This will help us reduce the risk of airborne infection to our team and we thank you in advance for your cooperation.

Washrooms

Sanitising stations will be provided at every shared entrance on the site, including the main kitchen area. At Scaldersitch Farm, each yurt and tipi has a private washroom with shower and toilet

Kitchen Facilities

Cuckoo and Woodpecker Yurts have their own mini sideboard with a hob, pots, pans, plates, glasses etc. The tipis are not suitable to cook in, so in the barn kitchen area there is spaced out provision for cooking and dining. The shared facilities include the dishwasher, large fridge freezer and we ask guests to sanitise hands and use due care and attention when using the shared space.

If you prefer not to use the shared fridge freezer, feel free to bring a cool box from home and ice packs which can be stored in the freezer (we suggest wrapping in a bag and labelling with your name).

Each accommodation has its own tea making/coffee machine facilities

Wood Fired Hot Tubs

We always empty the water, thoroughly clean, refill with fresh water, sanitise and light the fire for your arrival. We will also be disinfecting the touch points. Each day during your stay your hot tub will be checked and the water tested by a member of staff

On Site Wellness Treatments

Treatments are not currently available, and despite government allowing massage to reopen- we have taken the decision that the very clinical atmosphere due to the new restrictions doesn't suit our relaxation and wellbeing stance- so are not offering treatments at this time

Local Area

We will be sharing information on the new virtual welcome book about the local area, attractions, local places to eat and places offering takeaways and food boxes before your arrival. Please note leaflets, magazines and so on will not be provided on site for the time being to reduce shared touchpoints.

Developing symptoms

We ask guests to let us know if they- or anyone in their party develop symptoms of coronavirus during their stay. We then suggest following government guidelines, returning home immediately, sending for a test or visiting a testing site on route home and self isolating. Please ensure you have travel insurance in place to cover any illness before or after your planned stay as our usual booking terms and conditions apply.

We hope you understand the importance of the above measures so you can enjoy a relaxing and stress free stay with us whilst feeling safe in our accommodation and the beautiful Peak District. We hope to have created the right balance so that the risk of Covid19 does not impact on the luxurious feel and the little touches here at Scaldersitch Farm- which are the reason guests keep returning. We also want your stay to feel as normal as possible- so we wanted to share our procedures so you know we are doing everything we can to keep you safe while enjoying a holiday.

We look forward to welcoming you and please let us know if you have any queries regarding your stay
